(USA) Wow, this is an awesome article and much needed in our society today which focuses on self fulfillment rather than on "Living Christ". I am sending this one to every person that I know, married or single. We all need to remember the purpose of life is not happiness but intimacy with Jesus which brings more than mere human happiness. It brings everlasting JOY which can never be taken away from us. Like Jim Elliot said, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose". Marriage will pass away, spouses will pass away, but intimacy with Jesus is forever....We do not give up on marriage but we can give up our obsessing with that which will pass away. Even Christians can become obsessed with the here and now and lose our focus on that which will be forever. Jesus is the ultimate lover of our souls. Someday we will "know as we are now known" (1 Cor. 13:12). Knowing God and being known by Him is what brings ultimate satisfaction.
