(USA) This is a great article, I was feeling so overwhelmed with my marriage and children before reading this article. This article has shed some light on why my marriage is going down hill.

(ARUBA) Kids in the Mix. First of all, children are indeed a blessing and a joy. They do bring a sense of joy and love because of their beauty and their innocence and helplessness. A home with children and without children has a different feel in my opinion. They are a drastic change to one's lifestyle but children should not take away from marriage but add - since marriage was designed by God for the procreation of children. I disagree with the statement totally in the first paragraph that says "children throw marriage out of whack".

Children can possibly add pressure, yes, in some instances as new roles as mother and father are added. However, if they throw the car out of whack then that only indicates that the driver was having issues with the car from begining.

On the other hand, you do say positively that they make you reevaluate yourself and life. Children change one completely and for me it was for the better. I never imagined I could love or nurture anyone like this in my life. Their is this real and instant love that moves you. It is easy to see why some people make children their center. Sometimes husbands disappoint and are ungrateful and there are some that lose so called love or affection when you gain weight. It is for that reason people focus on kids because if you are a good mom and you love them, they love you unconditionally. Children are not as superficial as adults and men.

However, it does take a strong person to pull themselves back from their kids and remember their husbands because it's so easy to retreat to a strong and loving bond when times are difficult with your spouse. But God wants wives to know, and He told me that HE is a jealous God and that no child should be on any pedestal no matter the bond. He should be the one we run to and then we must be a help mate secondly, even when our mate is trying our nerves and then our kids. God will give us the balance we need. He is our ultimate source of supply, the one and only JEHOVAH JIREH.

MORE OPINION -- This was a lengthly and excellent read to say the least and it gave me a wider perspective on some issues that I have been dealing with.

God bless and expand this website as it goes to all the world and preaches the gospel and does what you commanded all your believers to do.

I hope this helps someone out there too. PRAYER IS KEY TO HELP IN MARRIAGE. IT'S BETTER THAN ARGUING. GOD CHANGES THINGS FAR BETTER THAN YOU EVER CAN - my personal experience. WIVES, SEEK GOD IN PRAYER CONSTANTLY!!! AMEN
