(KENYA) Reading these romance articles has given me great hope and wisdom to execute some ideals on our marriage. I am on a six months assignment in a different country by my employer. I chose to surprise my husband by not letting him know that I was visiting them back home after two months. I can vividly remember the romance and love that I got from my husband and our two kids. I thank God that after having been married for 17years and 3 kids later, I’m finally experiencing love and romance like I have never before. (SOUTH AFRICA) I am from SA and I’ve been married for 4 years now. We dated for 2 years before we got married.

I know what you mean when you say HOLDING hands is like a therapy. Last year in July I had ectopic pregnancy. I was so traumatized in the Hospital. I was crying like a child and asking for my husband. What I needed from him was his hands. The minute I held them I felt exactly what I was expecting –the relief. It’s amazing …I don’t know how, but it is I felt like I’ve gain more energy to deal with the situation after that. There is therapy in holding hands I admit.

We were struggling to have kids… then I had the ectopic. We are still trying even now. I asked him the other day, “Will you ever leave if I can’t bear you children?” He said “I never married you for that reason.” He is amazing! I Thank God everyday for HIM.

I am writing from South Africa. I read the romance article and really am in the same challenge of a relationship without romance. For the past 4yrs I have initiated some romantic moves, but my husband who is a pastor (no congregation) does not believe in these romantic things. When you take him out he then sees that as an opportunity to complain. The last time we went out he hurt me so much to tell me that he does not trust me. When we dated which was not long before we got married I did all the romantic things since he was unemployed. Guess what? He is still unemployed and says when I married him I knew he was not employed. THAT KILLS THE FIRE IN ME TOTALLY.
